KALAMAY FESTIVAL
San Enrique, Iloilo | December 2
This festival revolves around the culture, tradition, lifestyle and livelihood of the which is the sugar industry and its eco-tourism potentials. The festival features a dance-drama depicting the flourishing sugar (kalamay) industry in San Enrique.










December 5-11, Pagayaya Festival Ilagan, Isabela
Five provinces of Isabela region gathers up for 1 week long showcase of their culture, crafts and cuisine.
December 8, Gua Gua Town Fiesta Gua Gua, Pampanga
In honor of Immaculate concepcion, Pampanga celebrates this day showcasing cultural performances and festivities around town.
December 8, Sinadya Sa Halaran Festival Roxas City, Capiz
In the province of Capiz, this festival held annually, commemorates the feast of Immaculate concepcion- Patroness of Roxas city. Rituals and festivities are performed the traditional Capizeno way.
December 8, Pagdiwata Festival Palawan
It is a thanksgiving celebration of the Tagbanua tribe as thanksgiving for bountiful harvest. Night-long singing and dancing comprise the whole festivity with the lively traditional music in the background.
December 10, Children’s Festival Lucena City
Children wearing mascots are paraded around town of Lucena. Attractive programs and children games are held after the parade.
Third week, Shariff Kabunsuan Festival Cotabato City
This celebration commemorates the one who brought the islamic faith to Mindanao named Shariff Kabunsuan.
December 24, San Fernando Giant Lantern Festival San Fernando, Pampanga
The highlight of this festival is the presentation of the giant Christmas lanterns made by participating communities. Giant multi-colored lanterns are paraded to the delight of the visitors.
December 25 Christmas Day
The whole country celebrates the birth of Christ with midnight mass held on December 24, followed by the midnight supper or noche buena. Christmas day or Decmber 25 is the gathering of families and gift giving.
